Hook, Wine, and Stinkers

Family Vacation
This was our third year staying at Hook, Wine and Stinker and we had a great time. The storm and rain was bad, but manageable. The place is always clean!

A Plus Vacation Home!
Thank you for allowing us in your home. We had a party of 11 people staying in the home. It was beautiful. We had beautiful weather. Great location, short walk to the beach. Loved having the pool to cool off in after a beach day. Walk to breakfast and mini golf. We can't say enough about this place. We had maintenance come out to look at the outlets by the pool, and it was only a flipped breaker. They were quick and reliable though! Clean, uncluttered, great place to gather. Our only suggestions would be to list more of what is available in the kitchen. We are planners and that would be super helpful so we wouldn't have taken as much. And also the furniture on the mid level deck is flaking paint. We had two more people that didn't fit at the dining room table, which was a bummer, but we made it work with the island. We hope to be back!!!

Fantastic Stay!
This was a great location with many activities on premise. The house has all you need on vacation. If you have multiple families joint you, I recommend trying Hook, Wine and Stinkers!

Great Family Vacation
Had a great time at Hook, Line and Stinker for the second year there. We did have a lot of rain, but it didn't stop us. We did have a problem, but it was taken care of and compensation was given, which was very acceptable. Going back again in 2024-can't wait.

Excellent spot for an active family
Great house with an ideal location - you can walk to the beach, swim in your heated pool, or stroll over to 4+ family restaurants. It's also just a short drive to other restaurants and attractions in the Corolla/Duck area. It's an "upside down" house with the master bedroom on the top floor and beds on mid-level for the kids. My kids had a ball with their privacy, but other families may want to take advantage of the 3 bedrooms on the mid-level if they don't yet trust their kids on their own level. Lots of "bonus" amenities, including a pool table and board games. We had a very minor issue (HVAC got stuck on a temperature) and the host fixed it fully on the same day. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back.

Spacious Resort Home
Overall the property worked well for our family of six. The bedrooms and living areas were spacious and inviting. The outside areas were rather closed in and did not offer much usable deck space.

Great Family Vacation
My husband and I, plus my son and daughter and her husband and their three children (20, 18, 17) stayed at Hook, Wine and Stinker from June 18-25, 2022. What a wonderful place! I have used VRBO since my children were in grade school and I have to say this was the best experience we ever had. Our only complaint was trying to get the house with the bumper to bumper traffic which took us 3 hours instead of the 20-25 minutes not on the day of arrival being Sat. We had left our home at 3:30 AM on Sat. and finally arrived at 7:30 PM. I really think something could be done about the road leading into Outer Banks-maybe different arrival days and time, or widening the road, or having people direct the traffic besides the traffic lights. The house was perfect for our group and so open and clean. The walk to the ocean was short, the pool by the ocean was great along with the restaurant there and the ocean was nice, although cold. The pool at the house was the perfect size. The closeness to the stores and restaurants and putt-putt course was an added attraction, along with all the sport activities available. Thanks for making our stay one of the best. Also dealing with Coast Realty was a breeze. They were so nice and always willing to help. We hope our request to stay the same week next year will be honored. Thank you so much!
